    An Amish Christmas

While most Amish families celebrate Christmas in some way, not every family does it the same. Each home has its own traditions that make the season special, and each community has its own set of rules.

I've written another post sharing what Christmas was like in my Amish home. I grew up New Order Amish in Lancaster County, PA, and as you may know, there are big differences between New Order Amish and the strictest Amish groups.

In this post, I'm sharing the Christmas recipes I grew up with in my home and community. These are the kinds of dishes that filled our holiday table, and they may be different from the recipes someone raised in a Swartzentruber Amish family in another state might make.
